Laura R. Fogarty retired from the Federal Government in January, 2018 with 25 years of Federal Service working at the Armed Forces Retirement Home for Veterans in Washington D.C., 23 years as the Recreation Director and 2 years as the Safety and Occupational Health Manager.

After a year of “getting healthy” by losing weight and adding exercise to her life she wanted to find something to do that would be meaningful, bring in a little income and provide a purpose.

Having been a victim of assault in her early 20’s she was drawn to this mission to equip, empower and educate people to be safe from being a victim of crime.

Laura joined Damsel in Defense in February, 2019 which was a win, win decision. She is dedicated to help as many people as she can with “planting the seed” of awareness for better personal protection.
